The Police and Criminal Evidence (Northern Ireland) Order 1989 shall be amended as follows.

In Article 7(1) for “section 15 of the Police Act (Northern Ireland) 1970” there shall be substituted “
section 48(1) of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 1998
”
.

In Article 24(5) for “section 1 of the Police (Property) Act 1897” there shall be substituted “
section 31 of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 1998
”
.

In Article 50(2) for “section 15(1) of the Police Act (Northern Ireland) 1970” there shall be substituted “
section 48(1) of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 1998
”
.

In Article 56(14) for “section 15(1) of the Police Act (Northern Ireland) 1970” there shall be substituted “
section 48(1) of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 1998
”
.

In Article 84 in paragraphs (1) and (2) for “chief superintendent” there shall be substituted “
assistant chief constable
”
.
