(1)This Act may be cited as the Local Government and Rating Act 1997.
(2)Sections 1 to 4, 9 to 31 and Schedule 1 extend to England and Wales only.
(3)Sections 5 to 8 and Schedule 2 extend to Scotland only.
(4)This Act does not extend to Northern Ireland.
