14 U.K. In section 93(5) of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 (general powers of local housing authority: works in renewal area), for “Part VIII of this Act" substitute “ Part I of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 ”.

15 (1) Section 169 of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 (power of local authority and Secretary of State to provide professional, &c. services in relation to works) is amended as follows. U.K.

(2) In subsection (2)(b), for “section 114(3) or (4) above" substitute “ section 23 of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 (disabled facilities grants: purposes) ”.
