The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 shall be amended in accordance with this paragraph.

In section 27(1) (interpretation of Part I), in the definition of “local authority”, in paragraph (b), for “regional, islands or district council” substitute “council constituted under section 2 of the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994”.

In section 36(7) (marine nature reserves), in the definition of “local authority”, in paragraph (b), for “regional council, an islands council or a district council” substitute “council constituted under section 2 of the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994”.
