In sections 71(9)(b), 85(5) and 89(2)(c) of the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988, for the words “the Vehicles (Excise) Act 1971” substitute “ the Vehicle Excise and Registration Act 1994 ”.

In Schedule 3 to that Act add at the end—

Offences under the Vehicle Excise and Registration Act 1994 (c. 22)
Section 33 of the Vehicle Excise and Registration Act 1994.
Using or keeping a vehicle on a public road without licence being exhibited in manner prescribed by regulations.
Section 42 of that Act.
Driving or keeping a vehicle without required registration mark.
Section 43 of that Act.
Driving or keeping a vehicle with registration mark obscured etc.
