In section 8 of the Fire Services Act 1947 (constitution and powers of fire authorities constituted under combination schemes)—

in subsection (3), after “counties” insert “or, in Wales, counties or county boroughs”; and
b
in subsection (4), after “county” insert “or, in Wales, of a county or county borough”.

In section 9 of that Act (amendment and revocation of combination schemes)—
a
in subsection (2)(a), after “counties” insert “or, in Wales, counties or county boroughs”; and
