SCHEDULE 11Minor And Consequential Amendments

In paragraph 2(6) of Schedule 8 to the [1989 c. 24.] Social Security Act 1989 (interpretation of provisions relating to incapacity for work), for paragraphs (a) and (b) of the definition of “councillor’s allowance” there shall be substituted the following paragraphs—
a
section 173 or 177 of the Local Government Act 1972 or a scheme made by virtue of section 18 of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989, other than such an allowance as is mentioned in section 173(4) of that Act of 1972 or in section 18(2) of that Act of 1989; or
b
section 49 of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 or a scheme made by virtue of section 18 of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989, other than such an allowance as is mentioned in section 18(2) of that Act of 1989
