Designated ports

The owners or agents of a ship or aircraft employed to carry passengers for reward and coming to Great Britain from the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland or any of the Islands or going from Great Britain to any other of those places shall not, without the approval of an examining officer, arrange for the ship or aircraft to call at a port in Great Britain other than a designated port for the purpose of disembarking or embarking passengers.

The captain of an aircraft not employed to carry passengers for reward and coming to Great Britain from the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland or any of the Islands or going from Great Britain to any other of those places shall not, without the approval of an examining officer, permit the aircraft to call at or leave a port in Great Britain other than a designated port.
