Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1989

An Act to make provision in place of the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1984; to make further provision in relation to powers of search under, and persons convicted of scheduled offences within the meaning of, the Northern Ireland (Emergency Provisions) Act 1978; and to enable the Secretary of State to prevent the establishment of new explosives factories, magazines and stores in Northern Ireland.

The provisions of Parts I to V and section 27(6)(c) except the provisions of Parts III and V so far as they have effect in Northern Ireland and relate to proscribed organisations for the purposes of section 21 of the Northern Ireland (Emergency Provisions) Act 1978 or offences or orders under that section are continued in force for a period of 12 months beginning with 22.3.1990 by virtue of S.I. 1990/633, art. 3

The provisions of Parts I to V and 27(6)(c) of the 1989 Act except the provisions of Parts III and V so far as they have effect in Northern Ireland and relate to proscribed organisations for the purposes of section 21 of the Northern Ireland (Emergency Provisions) Act 1978 or offences or orders under that section are continued in force for a period of twelve months beginning with 22.3.1991 by virtue of S.I. 1991/549, art. 3
