This Act may be cited as the Protection of Military Remains Act 1986.

This Act shall come into force at the end of the period of two months beginning with the day on which it is passed.

This Act extends to Northern Ireland.

Her Majesty may by Order in Council make provision for extending the provisions of this Act, with such exceptions, adaptations and modifications as may be specified in the Order, to any of the Channel Islands or any colony.
