Subsection (3A) of section 38 of the 1957 Act (which, for the purpose of modifying a reference to a power to impose a sentence of imprisonment, refers to subsection (2) of that section) shall have effect, and shall be deemed always to have had effect, as if for the words “subsection (2)” there were substituted the words “ subsection (3) ”.
