The enactments mentioned in Schedule 16 to this Act shall have effect with the amendments there specified, being amendments consequential on the provisions of this Act.

The enactments mentioned in Schedule 17 to this Act (which include spent provisions) are hereby repealed to the extent specified in the third column of that Schedule.

This section has effect from the abolition date.

Subsection (2) above does not affect any orders made before the abolition date under section 23, 83 or 87 of the M1London Government Act 1963.
