21 Saving, consequential amendments and repeals.U.K.

(1)Regulations made under the M1Reinstatement in Civil Employment Act 1944 for the purposes of that Act continue to have effect for the purposes of the provisions of this Act as if those regulations had been made under section 19 of this Act.

(2)In this Act—

(a)the enactments specified in Schedule 4 have effect subject to the amendments consequent on this Act specified in that Schedule, and

(b)the enactments specified in Schedule 5 (which include enactments which were spent before the passing of this Act) are repealed to the extent specified in the third column of that Schedule,

but nothing in this Act shall be taken as prejudicing the operation of sections 16 and 17 of the M2Interpretation Act 1978 (which relate to the effect of repeals).
