136Citation, extent and commencement

This Act may be cited as the Food Act 1984.

The following provisions of this Act apply to Scotland—
a
sections 68 and 69, and paragraph 6 of Schedule 9,
b
Schedule 10, so far as it amends any enactment which applies to Scotland.
c
Schedule 11, so far as it repeals the [1956 c. 48.] Sugar Act 1956, and section 7(3) and (4) of the [1972 c. 68.] European Communities Act 1972,
but apart from those provisions this Act does not apply to Scotland.

This Act applies to Northern Ireland only so far as is provided by section 135.

This Act comes into force at the end of the period of three months beginning with the day on which it is passed.
