F1A direction under section 82(2) by the F2national authority shall be given by means of an order made by the F2national authority after giving public notice of F3the national authority's intention to make an order.

A direction under section 82(2) by a local traffic authority shall be given by F5 a strategic highways company or by means of an order made by F6the company or the authority.

Section 68(1)(c) of this Act shall apply to any order made under subsection (2) above.

The power of the Welsh Ministers to make an order under subsection (1) is exercisable by statutory instrument.
