1In this Schedule (which is a re-enactment of section 80 of the M1Road Traffic Regulation Act 1967 and associated provisions) “the interim period” means the period beginning with the date on which the Schedule comes into operation and ending with such date as the Secretary of State may by order made by statutory instrument appoint, as being the date on which the repeal of section 80 by the M2Transport Act 1982 would have been brought into operation, had section 80 not already been repealed by this Act.
