Enactments relating to statutory undertakers, etc.

The references to British Telecommunications in the following enactments (under which British Telecommunications is a statutory undertaker and its undertaking a statutory undertaking) shall (without prejudice to the following provisions of this Schedule) cease to have effect, namely—
a
section 73(1) of the M1Control of Pollution Act 1974;

section 27(1) of the M3Welsh Development Agency Act 1975;
d
section 44(1) of the M4Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976;
e
section 34(1) of the M5Development of Rural Wales Act 1976;
f
Article 53(1) of the M6Pollution Control and Local Government (Northern Ireland) Order 1978;
g
section 13(4) of the M7Electricity (Scotland) Act 1979;
h
section 61(2) of the M8Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Areas Act 1979;
i

Article 2(2) of the M10Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1980;
k
section 79(1)(c) of the M11New Towns Act 1981:

section 8(1)(c) of the M12Acquisition of Land Act 1981;

The following provisions of Schedule 3 to the M141981 Act (being provisions by virtue of which British Telecommunications is for the purposes of certain enactments to be treated as a statutory undertaker, a public utility undertaking or other public body) shall cease to have effect—
a
paragraph 10(1) and (5) (miscellaneous);
b
paragraph 23 (the M15Civil Defence Act 1939);
c
paragraph 31 (the M16War Damaged Sites Act 1949);
d
paragraph 39 (Schedule 4 to the M17Public Health Act 1961);
e
paragraph 50 (the M18Local Government and Roads Act (Northern Ireland 1968);

paragraph 52 (the M19Harbours Act (Northern Ireland) 1970);

paragraph 55(2) (the M20Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1972);
