In the National Health Service Act 1977—

a

in section 29(8) for the words “section 8(1) or (2) of the Medical Act 1978”, “section 9(1)” and “section 13(3)(b)” there shall be substituted respectively the words “ section 37(1) or (2) of the Medical Act 1983 ”, “ section 38(1) ” and “ section 42(3)(b) ”; and

b

in section 128(1) for the definition of “medical practitioner” there shall be substituted—

“medical practitioner” means a registered medical practitioner within the meaning of Schedule 1 to the Interpretation Act 1978
