In section 105(1) of the M1National Health Service Act 1977 (payments by local authorities for medical examinations with a view to admission to hospital under Part IV of the principal Act) for the words “the council which is the local authority for the purposes of the Local Authority Social Services Act 1970 for the area where the person examined resides” there shall be substituted the words “ the Secretary of State ”.
