8 Power of local authority to enter into arrangements under Employment and Training Act 1973.S
Every local authority [F1(a)] shall have power and shall be deemed always to have had power to enter into arrangements with . . . F2 the Secretary of State under the provisions of the Employment and Training Act M11973. [F3and
(b)shall have power to take part in any arrangements made in pursuance of section 2(3) of the Enterprise and New Towns (Scotland) Act 1990 (which relates to arrangements made by Scottish Enterprise and by Highlands and Islands Enterprise for persons to train for employment etc.).]
