(1)Any notice required to be given under this Act—
(a)shall be given in writing ; and
(b)may be given by post.
(2)Where any such notice is required to be given to the person carrying on a children's home and more than one person is for the time being carrying it on, the notice may be given to any one of them; and for the purposes of section 7 of the [1978 c. 30.] Interpretation Act 1978 (references to " service by post") a letter enclosing a notice under this Act to any such person or persons shall be deemed to be properly addressed if it is addressed to him or them at the home.
