Notwithstanding section 1(6)(b) of the 1968 Act (Orders under section 1 not to confer privileges or immunities on representatives of the United Kingdom, etc.), an Order in Council made under section 1 of that Act may confer immunities on representatives of the United Kingdom to the Assembly of Western European Union or to the Consultative Assembly of the Council of Europe.
