Compulsory Purchase Act 1965 (c. 56)

The Compulsory Purchase Act 1965 shall be amended as follows.

For section 1(1) substitute—

This Part of this Act shall apply in relation to any compulsory purchase to which Part II of the Acquisition of Land Act 1981, or Schedule 1 to that Act, applies, and in this Part of this Act—

a

“the Acquisition of Land Act” means that Act,

b

“compulsory purchase order” has the same meaning as in that Act.

In section 11(1)—

a

for “paragraph 3 of Schedule 1 to the Act of 1946” substitute “ section 12(3) of the Acquisition of Land Act ”,

b

for “section 8(1) of the Act of 1946” substitute “ section 7(1) of the Acquisition of Land Act ”.

For section 30 substitute—

Section 6 of the Acquisition of Land Act shall apply to the service of notices under this Act.

In section 31 for “paragraph 3 of Schedule 1 to the Act of 1946” substitute “ section 12(3) of the Acquisition of Land Act. ”
