After subsection (2) of section 98 of the principal Act (offences relating to registration of independent schools) there shall be inserted the following subsection—

“(2A)

A person shall not be guilty of an offence under subsection (2)(a) above by reason of conducting a school at any time within the period of one month from the date on which it was first conducted (whether by that person or another) if an application for the registration of that school has been duly made within that period.”.
