4 General duty of Ministers.

After section 8 of the Forestry Act 1967 there shall be inserted—

“8A General duty of Ministers.

In performing their functions under this Act the Ministers shall have regard to the national interest in maintaining and expanding the forestry resources of Great Britain.”.
