40 Fishery protection in waters adjacent to Northern Ireland.
The Department of Agriculture for Northern Ireland may, with the approval of the Department of Finance for Northern Ireland, incur expenditure in employing officers and vessels and generally taking such measures as appear to it necessary to protect British fisheries in F1the Northern Ireland zone within the meaning of the Northern Ireland Act 1998.
