3 Establishment and functions of Council of Law Society.S
(1)The business of the Society shall continue to be conducted by the Council of the Society (referred to in this Act as “the Council”) the members of which shall be elected [F1, co-opted or appointed] in accordance with the provisions of the scheme made under paragraph 2 of Schedule 1.
(2)The Council shall have the functions conferred upon them by this Act [F2and sections 16 to 23 of the 1990 Act].
