4 Consequential amendments, savings, transitional provisions and repeals.

The enactments specified in Schedule 3 to this Act shall have effect subject to the amendments there specified, being amendments consequential on the provisions of this Act.

5 Short title, commencement and extent.
(1)
This Act may be cited as the Insurance Companies Act 1980.
(2)
This Act shall come into operation on such day as the Secretary of State may by order made by statutory instrument appoint.
(3)
This Act extends to Northern Ireland.
