Subject to F1section 3 of this Act, a local authority may provide and, if they think fit, operate a slaughterhouse and may dispose of any slaughterhouse belonging to them by F2... sale, lease or excambion; and any slaughterhouse so disposed of shall be deemed to be disposed of under Part VI of the M1Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973.
