Section 138 of that Act (restitution or compensation for theft, etc.) shall have effect as if—
a
the reference to a court-martial in subsection (1) included a reference to a Standing Civilian Court; and
b
the following subsection were substituted for subsection (9):

The operation of an order under this section made by a Standing Civilian Court shall be suspended—
a
in any case until the end of the period within which notice of appeal may be given; and
b
if such notice is given, until the appeal is determined or abandoned.
