16 Interest on compensation. S

Compensation under this Part of this Act shall carry interest, at the rate for the time being prescribed under section 40 of the M1 Land Compensation (Scotland) Act 1963, from—

(a) the date of service of the notice of claim; or

(b) if that date is before [F1 the first claim day], from [F2 the first claim day]

until payment.
