In section 47 of that Act, in subsection (3) (which specifies the authorities or persons who may make orders for the discharge of a patient), for the words " regional hospital board " there shall be substituted the words " Regional Health Authority, Area Health Authority or special health authority " and for the word "board" there shall be substituted the word " authority ".

At the end of subsection (4) of that section (which provides that the powers conferred by that section on an authority may be exercised by three or more members of the authority), there shall be inserted the words " or by three or more members of a committee or sub-committee of that authority or body which has been authorised by them in that behalf ".
