Abolition of carriers’ licensing for certain vehicles
93 Carriers’ licences not to be required for small vehicles or for medium vehicles covered by operators’ licences.

Section 164 of the Act of 1960 (users of goods vehicles to hold carriers’ licences) shall cease to apply to the use of any vehicle the unladen weight of which does not exceed F2, and any carrier’s licence so far as it authorises the use of such a vehicle shall cease to have effect.

The said section 164 shall not apply to the use of any vehicle for the use of which an operator’s licence is required, unless that vehicle is a large goods vehicle.
