In this Act, except in so far as the context otherwise requires,—

• " the Board " means the National Coal Board ;

• " the Minister " means the Minister of Power ;

• " the 1965 Act " means the [1965 c. 82.] Coal Industry Act 1965.

Except in so far as the context otherwise requires, any reference in this Act to any other enactment is a reference thereto as amended, and includes a reference thereto as extended or applied, by or under any other enactment, including this Act.

The provisions of the 1965 Act specified in the Schedule to this Act shall have effect subject to the amendments set out in that Schedule, being amendments consequential on the foregoing provisions of this Act.
