The Council shall keep accounts of all sums received or paid by them and the accounts shall be audited by auditors appointed by the Council.

No person F1shall be appointed under the last foregoing subsection unless he is eligible for appointment as a F2statutory auditor under Part 42 of the Companies Act 2006.

Copies of the accounts of the Council shall be furnished to any person on application and on payment of such reasonable sum as the Council may determine.
