This Act may be cited as the Wills Act 1963.

This Act shall come into operation on 1st January 1964.

The Wills Act 1861 is hereby repealed.

This Act shall not apply to a will of a testator who died before the time of the commencement of this Act and shall apply to a will of a testator who dies after that time whether the will was executed before or after that time, but so that the repeal of the M1Wills Act 1861 shall not invalidate a will executed before that time.

It is hereby declared that this Act extends to Northern Ireland, . . . F1.
