For the purposes of the F3Animal Health Act 1981—

(a)

subject to paragraph (b) of this subsection, the council of a London borough shall be the local authority for the borough;

(b)

for the purpose of the provisions of that Act relating to imported animals, the Common Council shall be the local authority in and for the whole of Greater London.
