F129A.Meaning of “leviable bet”
(1)
In this Part “leviable bet” means a bet that—
(a)
relates to horse racing in Great Britain, and
(b)
is made (whether in person or remotely) by a person who is in Great Britain when the bet is made.
(2)
The following are not “horse racing” for the purposes of subsection (1)(a)—
(a)
point to point racing;
(b)
harness racing;
(c)
trotting events.
