LIII Regulation of private Boats.U.K.

Every Owner and Occupier of a Fishery within or of Land adjoining the River who uses any Boat in or upon the River for the Purpose of Fishing, or for any other Purpose, shall have his Name and Surname painted upon every such Boat, with the Number thereof, in like Manner as is herein-before directed with respect to Ferry Boats; and no Boat which in the Fishing Season is generally and ordinarily used for fishing with Nets shall be used for Angling or Rod Fishing; and every such Owner and Occupier who uses a Boat contrary to the Provisions of this Section, or without his Name and the Number painted thereon as before provided, shall for every such Offence be liable to a Penalty not exceeding [F1£25][F1level 1 on the standard scale], and every Boat so used may be seized and forfeited.
