Dean Forest (Mines) Act 1904

An Act to facilitate the opening and working of certain of the lower series of coal seams in His Majesty’s Forest of Dean and in the Hundred of St. Briavels in the County of Gloucester and for certain other purposes connected with the mines in the said Forest and Hundred.

Whereas by reason of certain of the provisions of the Acts relating to the Forest of Dean and to the Hundred of St. Briavels in the county of Gloucester and of the rules and regulations made under those Acts it is difficult or impossible to obtain the deep coal of certain of the lower series of coal seams comprised in the forty-one gales specified in the schedule to this Act and the greater portion of those seams are at present unopened and unworked:

And whereas it is expedient to amend the law as respects the mode of granting of gales for which several applications have been made and as respects the mode of dealing with gales in which several persons are interested:
