“the 1980 Act” means the Highways Act 1980 (c. 66);

“the 1998 Act” means the Private Hire Vehicles (London) Act 1998 (c. 34);

“the 1999 Act” means the Greater London Authority Act 1999;

“enactment” includes any instrument made under an Act;

“Mayor” means the Mayor of London;

“subsidiary” has the meaning given by section 1159 of the Companies Act 2006 (c. 46); and

“TfL” means Transport for London.
