In its application to the Company, the Act of 1973 shall have effect, and be deemed always to have had effect, as if in section 16 (1) (c)—
(a)“confer” were omitted;
(b)for “under” there were substituted “by”; and
(c)there were added at the end thereof— “; or, on such an application, impose new duties or confer new powers on, or make alterations or additions to or omissions from the constitution of, the assay office.
