26Attachment of equipment to tramway buildings and structures

Subject to subsection (2) below, the Council may, with the consent of the Corporation, affix to any building or structure ancillary to any tramway comprised in Tramlink—

a

street lighting equipment;

b

decorative lighting equipment;

c

traffic signs within the meaning of section 64 of the [1984 c. 27.] Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984;

d

traffic guidance control equipment;

e

traffic monitoring equipment; or

f

any other apparatus or equipment of a like nature.

The power in subsection (1) above shall not be exercised in such a way as to impair the safe and efficient operation of Tramlink.

The consent of the Corporation under this section may only be withheld if the Corporation consider that the proposed exercise of the power would impair the safe and efficient operation of Tramlink.
