The Corporation may, in the construction of the authorised railways, carry the same with a single or double line across and on the level of the streets specified in Schedule 2 to this Act.

The Corporation may, subject to such requirements as the Secretary of State may from time to time lay down, provide, maintain and operate at or near any such level crossing such barriers, lights, traffic signs and automatic or other devices and appliances as may be approved by the Secretary of State.

In the exercise of the powers of this section, the Corporation may alter or interfere with the level of any street upon which any railway or associated work is to be laid.
