Amendment of section 4 (vehicles authorised to be used under operator’s licence)76

After section 4(3) insert—

3A

An operator’s licence shall not authorise the use of any light goods vehicle unless the vehicle is registered under the Vehicle Excise and Registration Act 1994 (c. 22).

In section 4(4), in the words before paragraph (a)—

a

for “An operator’s” substitute “A heavy goods vehicle”; and

b

after “use of any” insert “heavy goods”.
