Citation, commencement and interpretation
1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Citizens’ Rights (Application Deadline and Temporary Protection) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 and come into force on IP completion day(1).
(2) In these Regulations—
“the EEA Regulations 2016” mean the Immigration (European Economic Area) Regulations 2016(2);
“application deadline” has the meaning given in regulation 2.

“IP completion day” is defined in section 39 of the European Union (Withdrawal Agreement) Act 2020.
