Article 9 is amended as follows.

In paragraph 1—

a

omit the first subparagraph;

b

in the second subparagraph—

i

for “The Agency shall, on behalf of the Commission,” substitute “The Designated National Authority must”;

ii

after “received” insert “concerning the export to the United Kingdom of a chemical the manufacture, use, handling, consumption, transport or sale of which is subject to prohibition or severe restriction under a Party’s or other country’s legislation,”;

c

omit the third subparagraph.
