7. For the purposes of paragraph 12(6) of Schedule 5B to the 2009 Act, Part 3 (legal proceedings) of the 1983 Act shall have effect in relation to the questioning of an election for the return of a combined authority mayor as it has effect in relation to the questioning of an election under the Local Government Act 1972(1).
