2. The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives is designated as an approved regulator in relation to—
(a)reserved instrument activities; and
(b)probate activities(1).
“Reserved instrument activities” and “probate activities” are reserved legal activities under section 12(1)(c) and (d) of the Legal Services Act 2007. Paragraphs 5 and 6 of Schedule 2 to that Act make provision, respectively, about what constitutes such activities.
