SCHEDULEEnabling Powers

These Regulations are made under the following powers:

a

sections 10A(5)(b), (6), (7) and (9)10, 5311 and 201(1) and (3)12 of, rule 37(1F)13 of Schedule 1 and paragraphs 1, 5A, 10B, 11, 11A and 12 of Schedule 214 to, the Representation of the People Act 1983 (“the 1983 Act”);

b

having regard to the definition of “prescribed” in section 202(1) of the 1983 Act, section 13BA(3)15; and

c

having regard to the definition of “prescribed” in section 202(1) of the 1983 Act and section 27(2) of the Representation of the People Act 1985 (“the 1985 Act”), sections 6(1), 7(1), 9(4), and (8) of the 1985 Act16.

In the case of the 1983 Act, the provisions cited include those provisions as applied with modifications by section 2(1) of, and Schedule 1 to, the Elected Authorities (Northern Ireland) Act 198917.
